Some love stories are worth waiting for, and Andrew and Kelly's wedding celebration in Rochester, NY was one of those unforgettable days that perfectly blended sentiment, family, and joy.
Like many couples during the height of COVID, Andrew and Kelly made the decision to elope. It was intimate and it was right for them, but it always left a quite place in their hearts to one day celebrate with the people who mean the most to them.
That moment finally came this March, when Andrew's family planned a big get together for his Grandmother's 97th birthday! With family already coming into town from places like Seattle and all over the country, Andrew and Kelly knew it was time.
The place? None other than the church Andrew grew up going to in Fairport. As a wedding photographer in Rochester, I can tell you there is something special about saying "I do" (again!) in a place filled with childhood memories! The church added such a sentimental touch to the day, and it created the perfect backdrop for their long overdue celebration of love.
For couples considering a wedding, this is a beautiful reminder that a wedding doesn't have to follow a traditional timeline. Sometimes the most meaningful celebrations come after an elopement. If I am being honest, it makes the celebration even more special!
Andrew and Kelly, thank you for letting me tell your story. It was truly an honor to photograph a day that held so much love! I am glad you finally got the celebration that you both deserved.
